This notice explains how AlgaMálaga processes personal data submitted through this website, including contact forms, investor enquiries, update requests and candidate applications.

No automated decisions
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling to decide whether someone is selected, contacted or rejected.
Data we process
Website forms and applications
We only ask for information needed to respond to enquiries, manage investor/partner interest, send requested updates, or assess opportunity applications.

Candidate privacy notice
- Please submit only information relevant to the opportunity.
- Do not send ID documents, medical information, criminal records, passport scans, bank details or other sensitive data unless we specifically request them and explain why.
- Applications are reviewed only by people involved in AlgaMálaga recruitment, project evaluation or founder-level decision-making.
- Where a future agreement, grant, investor process or legal obligation requires it, we may retain limited records for longer than the normal retention period.
Processors and recipients
- Website hosting and form handling provider.
- Email and document storage providers used to manage enquiries.
- Professional advisers where needed, such as legal, accounting, grant or investment advisers.
- We do not sell personal data.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability where applicable, and object to processing where the legal basis allows it. You may also withdraw consent for updates or future-opportunity retention.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Spain, that authority is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
Security and file uploads
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. CV uploads should be PDF, DOC or DOCX and must stay within the form upload limit.
Because CVs contain personal data, access should be limited internally and files should be deleted when the retention period expires.
